GMAT Test Procedures

In addition to the rules that must be followed during the test, there are also several important procedures that must be followed before you will be allowed into the testing room.

To ensure that all requirements to enter the testing room will be met before the test actually begins, it's important to arrive for the test on time. As a general rule, you should arrive at least a half an hour before the GMAT is scheduled to begin. Arriving even 15 minutes late can result in you being disqualified from writing the GMAT that day. In addition, the fees that have already been paid will not be returned. The following must be submitted before you will be allowed to write the test.

Identification

All acceptable forms of identification must be current. In addition, they must include your name, date of birth, signature, and a clear and recent photograph. The name, date of birth, and signature must match the information that was provided on the GMAT application. Acceptable forms of identification include a passport, government driver's license, government ID card, or a military ID card.

Digital fingerprint

This will be used to verify your identify whenever you leave and re-enter the testing room. A digital fingerprint will be taken before the test begins.

Photograph and signature

All individuals writing the GMAT must provide a recent, clearly recognizable photograph and a signature that matches the one that appears on their application and identification before entering the testing room.
